Platforma Națională pentru Tehnologiile Semiconductorilor (National Platform for Semiconductor Technologies)
PNTS, ID: 220246373
Contract number\Submission date: G 2024-85828/390008 (cod SMIS 304244) / 27 noiembrie 2024
Abstract: The National Platform for Semiconductor Technologies (PNTS) represents the materialization of an initiative to support and consolidate Romania’s capacity in the strategic field of semiconductor technologies, namely microelectronics. This field – recognized worldwide as an essential driver for the development of advanced technologies and the successful implementation of EU industrial policies – represents at the same time a key element in supporting the digitalization and green transition processes.

Neural frameworks for deep learning using graphene nano-ribbons based circuits
NN-GNRCKT, ID: 220235034
Contract number\Submission date: 3 / 6 octombrie 2023
Abstract: This project details the hardware design of a McCulloch-Pitts neuron using graphene nanoribbons (GNRs). By optimizing GNR device geometry to create fundamental analog circuits, we will design and simulate a complete neuron. This research aims to demonstrate the disruptive potential of graphene for high-performance, low-power neural computing and bioelectronics.

IoT learning environment for devices and circuit evaluation during applicative activities
IoT-EVLMED, ID: 520236040
Contract number\Submission date: 144 / 4 decembrie 2023
Abstract: Laboratories based on hardware resources were deeply affected by the restrictions imposed by the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, revealing the need to develop platforms that allow remote access and “take home” type resources. The IoT-EVLMED project aims to achieve a learning environment with a high degree of adaptability and modularity, necessary for the development of automated testing knowledge. This environment will enable hybrid teaching.
